About Marianas GPS
• It's Free
• It's Accurate
• It's Available Now.
You may wonder who is MarianasGPS? We're not a corporation. We're not a conglomerate. We're a group of enthusiasts with a passion for providing conveniences not currently available on the island we live and love.
We've been on Guam for over 30 years, and remember fondly the days when directions would include such landmarks as trees, houses, and old signs. And that works for us. Driving on 'Camp Watkins Road' (which has long been renamed 'Gov Carlos G. Camacho Road) isn't a problem. Directions from Tamuning to Mangilao used to include 'turn left after the Cool Spot' (which sadly, no longer exists). But the island is growing, and we have to embrace this growth with an increase in infrastrucure to handle it. And part of that infrastructure is accurate maps.
There are other sources for maps. But there are none more accurate. We live here. We shop here. And we verify our maps by getting into our vehicles and driving. Can't make a left from Route 8 to Marine Corps Drive? We know that. And our maps reflect that. New construction in Barrigada? We're on it. Did you remember that the first leg of Sgt Roy Damien Street is one way? We did. When accuracy is key, you'll be glad you worked with MarianasGPS products. You don't want your visiting friends, relatives or business associates turning onto a curb because the GPS told them to. Other maps aren't aware of where Marine Drive (oops. Marine CORPS Drive) has turn lanes or not. We do. And every other little detail that, behind the wheel, makes a BIG difference in safe arrival.
The buildup is coming, and we need to be ready when it happens. Which is now. We've been working on our products for months, testing and retesting. Our products are a mature and viable tool for New Residents, Tourists and Contractors who do not know their way around the island. Using our GPS provides a peace of mind for those who need to arrive at an unknown destination without the worry of wrong turns, missed landmarks and a variety of unknown circumstances, such as road closures and detours, washed out bridges or thoroughfares after a squall or typhoon, or emergency circumstances that require immediate action with little time for thought.
If you're in business, then you owe it to yourself to add your company in our POI database. If you're a tourist related company, you may be interested in some of our advertising opportunities. But regardless of who you are, you are on the cusp of a wave of technical growth that will enthrall all of us before it's over.
